Marion Frere
Dr Marion Frere is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Public Policy. She
currently works in the Department of Premier and Cabinet where she responsible
for managing the update of Growing Victoria Together, the Government's medium
term vision statement. Research interests include women and public life,
local government, community building and the links
between social policy and the criminal justice. Her PhD in criminology,
Corporeal Punishment: Prisons and Sexual Difference won the Chancellor's
Prize for Humanities in 2002.
