Executive InternshipThe Executive Internship Program seeks to provide students who are coming to the end of their studies with a challenging 'real world' public policy experience. An internship placement may be in any organization that has an involvement with public policy. Most students seek a placement in a government department or community sector organization. An increasing number of placements are also being undertaken in the private sector. For postgraduates, an internship facilitates high-level skill development and networking. It enables students to broaden their expertise and experience, leading to enhanced career opportunities. The internship is an exciting and rewarding experience - and it's a great way to earn 25 credit points! It counts for the equivalent of two normal subjects. Organisations are expected to provide a mentor to supervise and monitor the student's professional development. Internships are required to work approximately 200 hours in an organization, usually two days per week over a 12 week semester or 4-6 weeks full time during semester break.
